Data Sharing Efforts

As an Academic working in a research institution, I know how hard it can be to get access to the right data to complete your work. I've spent years developing the right combination of industry partners, algorithms and licensing arrangements to enable my solar forecasting & modelling research.  And now, I want to share all this data with you, so you don't have to do the same.

Using resources from my ARENA backed distributed solar forecasting project and our growing capability at Solcast, I am leading an aggressive data sharing campaign which is providing solar radiation data, solar PV power output datasets and real-time forecasting capability for researchers.  More info following below:

Coming very soon; quality-controlled PV system data, free for R&D purposes. Similar to the data available through my R package, but with improved quality control and many more sites/locations. We gather PV data from tens of thousands of PV systems - you should use it!
